I'm Jess, a Family and Nature Photographer based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.

Since 2020 I've transitioned from being primarily a wedding photographer to focusing on motherhood, family, and nature photography. This shift has been profoundly meaningful to me, as capturing the fleeting moments of childhood and family connections is a sacred gift I’m privileged to offer. Additionally, integrating this work with spending time in nature has greatly benefited my well-being.

When photographing families, I aim to reflect authentic and heartfelt connections through attentive observation. My sessions typically take place outdoors, celebrating our relationship with the local environment. Since the birth of my beautiful daughter the importance of motherhood and family photography has deepened for me, as I understand how quickly babies grow and how precious these moments are. My photography style embodies a film-like quality with a painterly touch, exuding softness, romance, and emotion. My images are timeless visual heirlooms, cherished by families as treasured legacies.

For nearly two decades, I've traveled across the UK and abroad, capturing love stories and sharing insights at photography conferences. Now, my focus on nature and family photography resonates deeply with who I've become. This path aligns perfectly with my lifestyle, allowing me to embrace my dream job while supporting my little family.

I also lead mindful nature photography workshops/sessions; guiding participants to connect with nature and deepen their understanding of the local environment by combining foraging, photography and serene observation.

My family and I cherish the enchanting beauty of nature, immersing ourselves in its wonders through photography and tranquil observation. We spend our cherished moments wandering through local parks, woodlands, the majestic National Peak District, and the captivating North Yorkshire Coast, discovering treasures and nourishing our souls.

With a BA Honours in Photography (focusing on 35mm film) and training in Fine Art, Fashion, and Design, I’ve cultivated a diverse skill set. Additionally, I hold a teaching certificate and am recognized as a Trinity Arts Award Practitioner. This background enriches my approach, allowing me to blend technical expertise, and use my creativity, to produce the work I do.
